2 Homemade gutter mount light bar
I was going to use these to mount a roof rack but I am going to be adopting a child(hopefully soon!) and I could use the money more then a roof rack right now. I have 2 bars that are made from 1 1/2" angled steel.
mounts are 1/8" and bar is 3/16" thick.
overall length is 54 3/4"
Area between the mounts is 52 1/2"
overall height is 5 3/4"
gap between roof and bottom of bar is 1 1/2"
approximate weight is 5lbs (house scale)
primed and painted with black spray paint.
I made the mounts so it will pull from under the rain rail then use the lock down bolt to hold it in place. When I was fabbing these I tightened them down to make sure they worked before I painted them and they were on there solid. I was rocking the jeep back and forth with it. In the pictures I just snugged them up to take a few shots.
As of now there are no holes drilled for lights, you can drill the holes how you want them or if you give me the measurements and what size holes I can drill them(only have drill bits up to a 1/2").
If I did my measuring correctly this bar could potencially have enough room to hold 8 kc daylighters (the 6"dia round ones). I made these for my 98. I'm guessing the spacing for the newer body style is the same but I don't know what the spacing is for the older body style.
These are located in Glen Gardner NJ 08826
$55 each + shipping. If you are local you could pick up if you would like. If you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to answer them. Payment can be check/money order (will ship once cleared), cash or paypal.
