Backstory
I have wanted a Cherokee for about five years and really wanted one as my first car, but my grandfather gave me his truck(1999 GMC Sierra 2 door) so I didn't complain. Then I got tired of paying for so I traded with my dad for a 2003 Honda Civic. During this entire time my neighbor across the street had a Cherokee that I always liked but didn't really want because it was red and also I wanted a 97+ due to the interior being in my opinion better. But one day he got a new vehicle and he was going to take this jeep to the junk yard and I told him that I would buy in instead, so I bought it for cheap!!!
The bad
Rust!!
There were also a few holes in the floor, one of them was above the exhaust were the heat ruined the floor.
Also it needed a radiator, exhaust had a hole in the muffler, needed 2 tires, steering box had a crack, bent front bumper due to deer, torn seat, but over all not to bad and allowed for up grades.
Specs
It has the 8.25 rear axle,4.0 liter, power doors, power windows(I wanted manual for easier doorlees mod), 172000 miles, 4x4, automatic and other standard Cherokee items.

Yes. I was also going to do the black on the fenders but I ended up buying the fender flares and didn't paint the fenders. The black on the bottom is dupicolors Bedliner.

Sanded
Sanded and also testing tires with a 3inch jack lift<br/>And on 31 1250s
Primed and bottom bedlinered, also testing tires with cut fenders and 31 1050s
Started to paint with regular tan paint
All painted and I knew it would not look very good but ended up A little worse than I was hoping so I ordered Bedliner and painted it again. Also this has the wheels and tires that I decided on with the rubicon express 2 inch lift. Tires are 32 1150 cooper at3

damn, you got a great deal, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay? I got mine for $1000 and it had 230k and all is rust. Also my first car/jeep. Yea, I too originally like the newer style interior and look but now that I have this one, it's really growing on me. Also like the simplicity. Not a whole bunch of computers and wiring.

Interior
When the interior was taken apart I felt like it was a good time to do speakers so I ran all new speaker wires, rca cables, 4 gauge wire, and a distribution block to run multiple amps. I tried to stay with one brand and I have used kenwood speakers and amps before and was impressed for the money. So 5.25 speakers where put in the rear hatch and speaker pod and 6.5 compontes in the front doors. There are kenwood speaker amps under the front seats.

The stereo was in the need of a subwoofer so I took the jl 12 out of my car and put it in the jeep on a 500rms alpine amp. But one day I decided I need more so I bought 2 focal 12s on sale at crutchfield. Sound great but took up a lot of space and decided I wanted My space back and built a box for a type r 8 and made a storage box
Jl w1v3-2. Great subwoofer, strong bass and shallow mounting depth
Storage box
It doesn't look the best but it allows the bass to not reflect of a wall right infront of the subwoofer and also allows the amp some air. I was very impressed by the type r 8 as in it is still very strong sub and is so small.
