it looks like the pinion depth is running shallow to me. I'd have to check the specs but .007 sounds a little tight also. the last ring & pinion I set up was a ford 8.8, the wear pattern on the drive was equal across the ring. back lash was set at .010 spec called for .008-.015 on the gear set that was installed.

pinion is just a little to close. what shim is in it? but your almost right, center up them patterns and your golden, are you holding pressure/tension on the ring gear as you rotate the pinion?

Well I guess this pattern is gonna have to do. I already put in a thinner slinger and there is no more shims behind the race. This should be runnable right?
