Condition:
Exterior: The body is in good shape. The rockers could use replacement. There is also minor rust on the doors and the back left corner panel which are easily repairable. THERE IS NO RUST ON THE FRAME.
Interior: Carpet was removed and shampooed. The interior is the nicest part of the car.
Engine: The engine is in great shape. Oil Changed 100 miles ago. It has the Inline 6 which is famous for is reliability. I have taken this jeep on multiple 300 mile+ trips with no problems. Less than 150k so it has alot of life left.
Transmission: 5 speed which has become a bit rare. Every gear is in great shape and the clutch is strong.
Also 4 wheel drive works. I have never used it except when I first looked at the car. The All Terrain tires have enough grip that even when it was icy I have never had any problems.

Reason for selling: My insurance for this Jeep runs out at the end of the month and I am looking to buy something else.

Also the jeep is wired for a sound system in the trunk and has under body protection panels and tow hooks. Also has better headlights. Also have another set of wheels with 3 brand new tires and 1 barley used. All season tires. Also had all the fluids changed about 4k miles ago. Transmission, diff, etc. When I had the Jeep inspected the mechanic told me the brake pads where new. The jeep was leaking around the windshield when I got it, but I had it sealed so now there are no leaks. This is a very reliable jeep and I get about 22-23 mpg.

 

The carpet does have some stains, but is very clean

 

My insurance runs out in about a week. So, if I am unable to sell it by then I plan on keeping it for at least another 6 months. Shoot me some offers; this is a good opportunity to get a 5 speed.

 

If not sold, will it still be available in about 4 weeks? I am looking for a 5 speed 97+ xj..yours fits the budget and preferences...how far are you from Manassas, VA?

Just used one of those carpet shampooers on the interior. Smells brand new.

 

Mileage update 149,008.
Also I always run 89 octane. I fill it with 93 about every 10 fill ups. And always Chevron. No cheap ****.

Also installed new drum brakes this week.

 

The jeep and I are headed up to Reading PA for work tomorrow. I will be there for a few weeks so if anyone near there wants to take a look at it let me know.
