I bought it a couple years ago off ebay. The seller was a lying sack of ***** that swore he pulled it from a 98 xj. I kept it for use in another heep I was going to build for my son but that project turned into a scrap pile. His current rig has one. Glad you asked about the 97 version...I had completly forgot about the other one.
Same price ($75 shipped/$50 for local pick-up), no bracket or harness.

 

About the 96 one, are you saying that the plug is cut off the console? I have this coming out of my heep for my keyless entry.

 

Nothing has been cut off. The console is complete but I do not have the harness that is normally installed in the headliner. WYSIWYG

 

question. will this fit on the ceiling of an 87? i dont care about it wiring up directly, i can run wiring for the map lights. i really just want it to hold my crap somewhere lol. please let me know via PM. thanks.
