Hello everyone,

up for sale is my 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0 4WD 5-Speed. 208k miles. Asking $2,100. Body has rust/rot in the trunk. Floors and frame are good. Body is in pretty good condition, but has a few minor dents. Interior is good. Comes with 14 wheels (yes, 14 wheels) and 8 tires (the tires off the car are not very good, but do hold air). Inspected in May 2011 which is good for 2 years in RI. I do not have a title for the vehicle as I purchased it in RI and they do no require titles for cars that old, however if buying it another state, I was told they will issue you a title with a bill of sale and previous registration.

Car runs very well. Drive it almost every day. Shifts great! The brakes should be replaced within 6 months, but still stop fine. The engine feels great and is very powerful, although it is making some noise (which is normal for the Cherokee). I wouldn't (and don't) hesitate to drive this Jeep any where. Only reason for selling is I do not need an SUV right now and am saving funds to build an Auto-X car.

Again, Jeep is not perfect, but runs and drives very well. Oil pressure is great, engine stays cool, and car shifts great. Power Windows and locks, however rear locks need to be unlocked from the inside.

Took me 6 months to find a good running 5 Speed 4.0 Cherokee, so I am assuming they are on the rare side.
