XJ locking Cargo box
Powder coated with stainless hinge and lock / latch.
This attaches to the metal unibody behind the plastic - Under the back window using two bolts (hardware not included)
No other modifications need to be made other than the two holes in the plastic.
Price is 160 for Powdercoated / with locking latch stainless hinge and Latch
One in bare steel is also available (might be primed) this does not have any latch, you could get one of your choice at any Hardware store. Bare steel w/no latch $125 - Shipping is $20 for either one
PM me if interested. Here is mine installed.

Heres the story on these, I had been looking for one of those plastic cargo boxes that came in the early XJs. I know 2 guys that have em. I have looked for one and not had any success (Ebay, CL, JY). ... I work in a metal shop and decided it would be as good or better just to make my own. So I did, and was very happy with the result. I never have seen anything like this offered by anyone else so I can say I'm pretty proud of it.

I saw the powder coated box at the PA Jeep Show, IT'S DAMN NICE. Compare "hammered" price to ANY box that Tuffy makes of comparable size, and his box is a good buy. I would have loved to have bought one but I didn't have the extra $$$ to get it, (I also wanted the brand new TJM bumper for my XJ that Rusty's had for $300 but I didn't get that either).
I'm sure at $100 he would sell more, who knows he may have 50 ordered or he may have 5 ordered, it doesn't matter, he set his price and the product looks VERY NICE. It's probably not worth his time to sell them for $100, since they aren't coming from China.

Awww... His messages got deleted. Too bad for him... How much did these cost you to make? I might try making some of my own.
