Looking for an agate grey dome light assembly, mounting bracket, and/or wiring harness from a 98-01. Will pay to have shipped if not in PNW.

These things are usually pretty easy to find on Ebay.
But there are a couple things that you should probably be aware of.
Cause some Ebay sellers are not the brightest bunch and sometimes list the application for the part wrong.
Now I am assuming you have a '99 like you profile says.
Also going to assume you have sun visors with vanity lights.
For starters the harness.
A '00 and '01 will not be plug and play.
One reason being is that the vanity lights in '00's and '01's are 2 wire ones.
External ground and power.
In your '99 they are 1 wire.
Internal ground and external wire for power.
Now you could probably work something out but it would not be plug and play.
Also one of the 2 connectors that plug in down in the foot well area where the Junction box is different on '00's and '01's.
Now you could repin that connector using one from a '99 to make that work.
Thinking '98 would work but never having seen one up close and personal can't be sure.
Almost positive that '97 would not be plug and play in you '99 but again not 100% sure on that.
As far as the dome light itself goes you want it to be from a '99 to '01.
Cause those are Agate, darker gray, while a '97 or '98 would be Mist Gray which is the lighter gray.
Thinking the bracket from any '97 to '01 would work.
Swapping out from a dome light to an overhead console in my '00 educated me a little on the subtle differences between years.

Great info, thanks. I knew there were some variances in the harnesses, but I didn't expect there to be that much. Chrysler really just started changing **** purely for the sake of changing **** it seems. I guess I'd need 56009703AE.

I had an overhead console, but sold it off as I didn't really care for its cluttery presence above my head (and it paid for my rock rails). I do miss having an overhead light when it's dark, though. Have the vanity mirrors, but don't really care if they function. The headliner is finally starting to let go, so I just wanted to do the wiring and bracket for a dome light while I was in there and mounting the CB and coax and doing new fabric, but it's not worth holding up everything just for a light if it's going to be that much of a pain trying to find specific parts. Guess I'll have to play junkyard lotto unless I get desperate enough to pay for the ebay inflation.
