i bought my magnaflow cat on ebay for like 75 bucks and a flowmaster super 40 for 80. i have 2.5 " exhaust all the way out the back. make sure the cat comes with the plug for the o2 sensor. had mine for a little over a year. working great.

Check out www.performance-curve.Com or contact user "mudfrog" here on the forums. He sells great kits for xj's.

By the way.... with your '91 you don't have to worry about the o2 sensor on the catalytic converter. That's only for obd2 vehicles ('96+).

No problem. The thunderbolt spun metallic catalytic converter is what mudfrog recommends. I have it ln my rig with no issues. Just be aware that the exhaust kits he sells don't come with hangers welded on.

Have you seen his 2.5" magnaflow catback system?

I was going to get the magnaflow converter but mudfrog recommended against it. He said the thunderbolt spun metallic cat was much better.

I'm not sure exactly what the difference is, but he did say it flows better than the magnaflow unit.
