Hey sorry to hijack but what triggers the check engine light for low oil pressure? My 2000 always ..well since I bought it...comes on once pressure goes to 20psi on a hot idle.I have replaced sending unit with a Mopar one and replaced the wiring connector also using my mechanical gauge it also reads the same. Does it come from the gauge reading or sending unit.

I did not have any check engine lights just gauges

If you are going to do that you might want to do what I did. I used some brass fittings so I could hook up a mechanical gauge easier anytime I wanted.
I own an '00 and had been meaning to throw a mechanical gauge on it for the longest time. Just to see. Am not having any problems.
So I figured I would rig this up and also lets me see how the mechanical gauge reading corresponds with the cluster gauge reading.
22 lbs at a hot idle and the the mechanical gauge and cluster gauge are in sync for the most part.
If you want the part numbers for exactly what I used let me know.

Don't go to a 15W-40. If you're worried about hot oil pressures, maybe go to 10W-40. A bit over simplified, but basically the 10W describes the viscosity when cold (0*C), and the 40 is when hot (100*C). So for a hot oil pressure, just increase the second number.
