Default 01 drivers side wiring problems?

So i am the proud new owner of my first jeep! It is pretty sweet, it just has a few problems and the chief one is 3 things
-drivers door wont lock or unlock automatically
-aft left passenger door wont unlock or lock automatically
-driver side speaker is out.

I figured it was the wiring, with both issues, I just dont quite know where to start. can anybody give me some pointers? I already took the door panel off to take a look at the speaker, I dont know if it is blown or just had some wiring issues.

thanks!

I'd start checking power wires with a multi meter.

1997+ Jeep's very very commonly have breaks in the harness at the door jam. That is most certainly your issue. You will have to repair the wires. Best way to do this is, remove your left kick panel, unplug the 3 white harness connectors that are grouped together. Pull door jam harness boot from the body, then fish the connectors out the body. Remove boot off the harness. You will now have to cut open the wire harness mesh cover that wraps the wiring. Repair broken wires and reinstall everything in reverse order. Enjoy. This will surely fix the Speaker.

As for the door locks, it could also be a broken wire in the same place, but it could just be the crappy door lock actuator sticking on you. My driver door does this.

Only 1 actuator per door that performs both lock/unlock function.. & yes, it is likely.
