My list of what i have done:
1. Swapped Ecus with the 01. Both computers started the 01
2. Removed the pdc and inspected all top pins and bottom pins, all looked good, i cleaned them with contact cleaner just to be safe, swapped all fuses and relays directly from the 01s pdc still no start.
3. Cleaned all grounds, and replaced the neg battery cable.
4. Unplugged all 3 wire sensor plugs except for the alternator.
5. Replaced the crank sensor with a known good but used one off a rolled 99 xj.
The only improvement that i have had is the check engine light now comes on when the key s first turned to on FOR THE FIRST TIME, after that it doesnt show up unless ot sits for 10 minutes or so.

Yea, it can be a BIG pain but, relax, take a step back and gather your thoughts. I was in the same boat and I could be in the same boat because I cringe everytime I go to start mine anymore. Bad experiences especially electrical can do that to a person!
I am with CCKen, that JB looks super clean..Mine was worse than the picture that CCKen posted.

To clean the DLC, try using some White Vinegar and a stiff bristle brush, like an acid brush, to scrub the pin cavities, then flush out using CRC QD Electronic Cleaner.

Cleaned pins, still not able to connect through an obd scanner. HOWEVER im now in possestion of another another 00 xj... that runs! But body is destroyed, now my question is, how bad it it to swap the wiring harness and where is the main connector (c100) located so i can disconnect both harnesses.
