Smile 08 wrangler wheels on 95 xj

I recently got my hands on a 95 xj and was wondering if i can mount the 08 17" wrangler whees on because I have a set of 35x12.5x17 tires. Basically, wanted to know if the bolt pattern is the same.

Thank you,

Eric

Thanks. Are there any jeeps with a 17" wheel and the 5x4.5" bolt pattern?

you could get them to fit if you got some wheel adapters... that would also space the wheels out about an inch though..

I would also think they'd be a little unstable if you're planning on doing any four-wheeling - last thing I'd want, personally, is to add any gap between the hubs and the wheels.

Hub adapters work okay on street cars, but I'd question them on the trail.

You'll note I used the words "I would think", thus indicating uncertainty on my part and not any sense of steadfastness.

You could also call that an "opinion based on hearsay". Having never used wheel adapters before, and not having any inclination to do so at present, I can only go with what I've heard. And years ago, I had read that wheel adapters were a bad idea.

Perhaps that's changed in more recent times. And if that's the case, consider me re-informed - isn't that the point of forums like this?
