I grabbed an injector out of an '01 Liberty with the 3.7 engine today. Here is a photo from each side showing the part numbers. I would have taken the whole set of six but someone before me removed the intake manifold and tossed 2 of the injectors on the ground which then got trampled on by who knows how many people.

Those are Bosch EV6 models. I located the flow data on those, and the wide open flow rates are closer to the EV6 703s and 784s than the EV14 model 021s. The dynamic flow rate is in between the 703/794 and the 021. These would be a good injector if looking for 10% higher fuel flow, good atomization, and better flow metering than 703/784.

Don't forget that it's the 2nd tank of gas that will tell the tale, not the first. During the first tank or so, the ECM is still re-learning the adaptive parameters. By the 2nd or 3rd, it'll settle out to the way it wants to run things.

They seem to be working out ok. Haven't gotten through a full tank yet.

Edit: just be clear on the part #s so people don't get confused. I know we call the neon injectors 703's cause that is the last 3 numbers of the chrysler part #. The last 3 of the chrysler part number for the ev14 liberty injectors is 701. Hopefully that saves someone some hassle in the junkyard.

Default Great injector info! Thx a lot!

I just recently joined this site and once I get through reading for hours on end I might even have some actual time to do a few things to my jeep! lol Ex: today i have managed to do absolutely nothing except read posts for the last 3 hrs leaving about an hour to actually do something! If I manage to kill 1 more hr. I can call it a day! Thx again for the great info!

I'm also interesting in the outcome. Give us an update when you have some data to share. I'm sure many others are watching and waiting as well.

Will do. So far I can say that they are atleast as good performance wise as 703's. I had my stockers in for a few days cause I had put the 701's in and was waiting on the adapters and still had my 98 to drive. Last weeked I popped a hole in my gas tank on the 98 so I put the stock injectors in my 97. Man the stock injectors suck.

So far tho these have been great but not sure about mpgs. I really hope to get a 2nd bung put in soon and hook the wideband up and see what is really going on.

Wideband O2 sensor. He is going to install a second bung (threaded port) in the exhaust pipe and plug in a wideband sensor which gives a linear readout from 1 to 5 volts depending on how rich/lean the engine is running. The narrow band sensors common in older vehicles are highly unlinear especially around the line where the best air/fuel mixture is.

I wish that I had a wideband in my Chevelle when I was tuning the multiport system I installed. It would have been a lot easier to dial in the fuel map.

Hey Alex, I checked my data. The 703 & 784 are the last three digits of the Bosch part number just like the 972 EV6 injectors from '01 liberty that Programo posted. I do not know what the Chrysler PN is. I am sure someone who has a set can chime in. Bosch stopped molding the part numbers in on EV14 injectors. This saves having to have customized injection molds for all the different parts and lets them switch production without having to cool the press down for changeover. They now have snap on color clips (blue band on the 021s) for quick visualization and the laser marked part number (last 4 digits) on the spray tip.

You are correct. My 703's ( that are for sale in the for sale section) chrysler part number is 5277739.

The base of my 021 injectors said "80211" on them. Don't know where the extra 1 came from but they seem to be correct.

Mine have a 3 on the end. It may be a rev level. I'll ask around.

Yeah that's why I had a hard time going off the numbers you posted. Not used to going off the manufacturer's number. At the dealer its usually revisons , date codes, plant id's etc that are that are the excess numbers on parts.
