1985 cherokee 2.8l iac issue?

so i'm going to begin cleaning the carb tomorrow but i have found another issue. one of the bolts on the exhaust manifold is missing, which has left exhaust coming up in the engine bay. How would this effect performance? also, does anyone happen to know what size bolt that is so i can just grab one from the hardware store? on another note, i have a suspicion that my cat converter might be all plugged up. is there a quick way to eliminate this as a possible issue?

so i found my issue. turns out my pcv valve was clogged like a ****, so 2 dollars later ive got a fresh one in and all the sudden my idle and performance problems are gone! i still plan on cleaning the carb, but i find it funny that a 2 dollar part was holding up the whole show. thanks for your thoughts guys!
