1987 Xj PROBLEMS

It could. Its an 87, so I would assume it has alot of carbon build-up. When it comes to the intake system, carbon can do alot of wierd things. Ive seen alot of guys chase parts with little or no results, then use this method and fix the problem. Ive also seen it not make any difference. Its a pretty cheap effort though, so not much to loose.

haha so i figured it out.. i had a day off finaly i just said okay ima fix this ****. soo after hours of going threw everything i pulled a vac line off the fuel pressure regulator and it was flowing with gas out it hahahah. so replaced it and runs like a champ. still a little bit of a high idle but ill just mess with the tps some more well thanks you guys for trying
