and sorry, but I retract my previous statement, I will not get it for you.
It was all I could do just to find the fricking thing and put my finger on it.

the 88 FSM also mentions it.

hmm... disregard my previous post. I think It was something other than a speed sensor....
I looked at some pics, and what I thought was the speed sensor was in a totally wrong spot.

If I'm not mistaken, it's that little white 2 prong weatherpack connector. There's about 6" of wire rearward facing from it and then nothing.

Yes, and I believe it's the top right sensor that I'm missing. However, I'm not 100% sure because there's so much stuff missing...

No idea on either. Bought the rig not-running and I'm putting it together. Guess we'll know if it doesn't shift out of first.

If I don't have the speed sensor, why is there one sold for 87+ Cherokees?

Where the arrow is in the pic is the speed sensor for the transmission it is what tells the transmission the speed so it can shift. the sensor for cruise control is located behind the dash and is driven off of the spedometer cable. I R&I and rebuild transmissions for a living. If you need that sensor I might have one laying around that you can have just pay the shipping I can also look for the bolt that holds the TV cable to the case for you too

That I cant answer for you. I order all my stuff from Transtar they have a listing for it. The AW4 is a toyota trans so maybe you have to get it from toyota. The dodge dealership should have a listing for it cause in 96 they switched to 2 speed sensors in the trans
