This thread is getting a little silly...

Okay the thing on the BACK of the transfer case, on the output tail cone, is the speedometer.

On older models with the NP231 there was a vacuum switch located on the front half of the case, hiding up behind the shifting linkage. It has four vacuum hoses:

When closed, the switch pulls vacuum and locks the passenger front axle shaft together, engaging 4WD. In earlier models with the NP242, and all later models, that vacuum switch is replaced by an electric switch that simply turns on a light bulb in the dash.

What's the problem you're having with uploading pictures?

fits in the u joint fine just the bolt holes on the yoke are spread out further then the driveshaft,.....Cant fit u joint and not bolt holes strap/bolts are always in same spot so strap or yokes hold down the caps on the u joint.

Where my yoke slides on the shaft is really small but the arms extend far, the yoke off the driveshaft I got has a bigger hole where it mounts on the tc

My 231 has no vacuum switch at all, I looked where y'all told me very thoroughly and nothing, not even a hole where it's suppose to go. What do I do about my yoke?

C2-26-309 is the H yoke in the double-cardan. 1310 series

The cherokee's front output yoke looks like this one, but mine has no lip, then I thought well I could just use it, but mine is also smaller in diameter so this one is too big for my output shaft
