Default 1993 Jeep Cherokee XJ loose steering

My steering is loose on my jeep. Te steering wheel will never stay straight. I had it aligned. Repalce steering box, control arms drag bar link and dampner. What could it be

If it has one of these, it could be your problem.

check tiered ends and also steering column shaft (it has miniature u joints in it that can wear out.)

There is a rubber sleeve on the end of the shaft that goes into the steering box. (No jokes, please).

It wears out over time, allowing the shaft to move around inside the sleeve.

Center the shaft and the wheels then weld the shaft to the end piece.

It took me 3 years to figure this out on my '92.
