Default 1993 Jeep xj interior light wont turn turn off when door close

Hello, The light goes dim when door closed like in first picture. (It same thing with dome light but no bulb in dome light anyway) The second picture, I tried rewiring and it wont go off again. I was told there is might be bad ground but idk where ground wire connect to.

Not necessarily, I had a pinched wire in the dash, with all doors closed it was bright as if a door was open. Not saying thats your problem

Are you saying the lights get dimmer when doors are closed? Instead of turning off?
