I read your link. Didn't know it was 'adjustable' Will try that next weekend.
Been tinkering with the Jeep on other things too. Want to get it running so can finish the smog stuff. Failed miserably. Typical cracked exhaust manifold. Replaced new. Also O2 and Cat converter but may have messed the new O2 sensor and/or catalytic converter with the cracked manifold. Be testing it this week. Have an unlimited pre test before final. That's another thread.

Decided to go to the yard today and pull the NSS switch for a spare and to see what I am going to run into with taking the one off my Jeep. Used the pry against the nut method in the instruction. Then wiggle it out. The hand wiggle wasn't so easy. But got it out after some creative prying against a bar. I'll take this one apart and clean it up so I know what I'm doing. Took about 30 minutes to get it out. Glad I did the yard because not worried about breaking mine now that I have a spare. Only issue I have with the one I pulled is that I noticed the connector tab is broken. Yard was closing so didn't have time to go get another one. I may have to splice in my connector if I don't use mine.
Really not a big deal. Find out about installing it back in when I clean up mine,. That may be more difficult seeing how hard it was to get it out. Have to gently push/tap it back in. I can use assembly grease/lube I think when I get to putting it back in. Any helpful hints to install it back in is appreciated. I think it will be more difficult.
There is some mention of 'adjusting' it with the reverse lights and park. Have to re-read how that works. Wondering it how I tighten it down will affect it. But from the write-up, seems pretty wide range of the contacts inside. Guessing it's more wear than anything in adjusting it.

Putting it back on is a piece of cake. Use a brass brush to clean the threads and mating surfaces and you're good to go.

Thanks F1Addict. Seems rather difficult to put it back into the trans. I tried putting the one I took out right back in to see how it aligns but seems some interference. Maybe in the yard, it was just that vehicle. I guess a good electrical grease from Home Depot or an Electronic store works on the contacts. ? Have to go get some. Appreciate all the help.

I jumped the B to C with a paperclip and taped it in place. Starts every time. Working on the smogging issue now. After I smog it, I'll get back to cleaning out mine and removing the jumper .
