1994 XJ 4.0 Motor Mounts
Just curious as to how you fellas raised/held up your drivetrain in order to change your motor mounts. I see the block of wood between the jack under the oil pan method ( not thrilled with that) as well as under the bell housing. Ratchet straps around the motor tethered to a forklift looks nice but cannot seem to find good anchoring points for the straps.

You're not going to town with the jack, just supporting the weight of the engine, not the whole vehicle, so basically the same as setting the engine on the ground.

Thank you for the input...I guess I am just a bit leery of the oil pan being that I just replaced the rear main seal, oil pump and cleaned up the oil pan and so forth.

Don't sweat it. Your just holding some but not all of the engines weight. 2x4 worked fine for me. Use a scrap of 2x6 or 2x8 to spread the weight even more. Home Depot should have some in the scrap box.
