Refreshed grounds including driver inner fender & driver underside of dash. Still reading @ 2.3ohms while known good grounds are reading @ 0.3ohms. This is leading me to believe there is a pinched ground wire or something. I spent some time laying under the dash poking around and nothing really stood out, so I'll probably see if I can get into the harness & find the splice to looks for a bad connection etc.

all of the dash bulbs are burnt out so I'll be grabbing some new bulbs and checking to see if lights are operational with the resistance present on their ground.

Since I'm also trying to get the transmission selector and transfer case illumination working,, Anyone have any idea how to remove the small emergency brake bezel? There are no visible screws and pulling up on it hasn't worked either. I'd like to get it out of the way so I can get to the wiring beneath the carpet & remove carpet for pressure washing.

Just a couple of things: sheet metal screws don't make good grounds, especially some way from the battery's -ive terminal & ground wires can be bad inside the insulation, particularly if they're exposed to damp or water ingress.

Picked up some new bulbs for the dash, decided to recheck resistance on the grounds with the other probe to a different area and saw 0.2ohms at all connections. Replaced bulbs, turned on the lights to see if everything was working correctly and success! I also realized that the dimmer switch lowers the output as you turn the **** clockwise, I was thinking it was doing the opposite for whatever reason.

So now I'll be focusing on the glovebox & courtesy lamps which I believe only need bulbs before getting the dash reassembled. Then I'll be pulling out & cleaning the carpet before getting the rest of the interior put back into place.

Also, for anyone wondering about the ebrake cover, its hinged at the front, pop it up from the bottom of the back and you'll find 3 screws mounting it to the tunnel.

All sounds great, on my 88 I also didn't have a glove box light until I replaced the bulb...LOL. I will say that I put a LED equivalent bulb in an man is that box lit, also on my transfer case light I used a red LED equivalent and its a nice touch.
