How's the hose to the MAP sensor?

It doesn't have a MAF.
MAP is either mounted on the throttle body or the center of the firewall.

Center of firewall. Small plastic vacuum line going to it with roughly a 2" rubber line connecting the MAP to that thin vacuum line. Pretty sure the harness connector is green as well?

The MAP is on the throttle body. I haven’t had time to work on it recently. I’ll look at the vacuum line when I can. I might just replace it. Also I was thinking the wiring may be causing sensors to go bad prematurely. I’m not certain of that but it was a thought

If the MAP is on the throttle body, there is no vacuum hose then.
Don't start throwing parts at this yet.

I'd be much more inclined to fix a damaged harness before throwing parts at it.

I’m not really sure how to go about that. The main thing is that a bunch of the sensor wires are supposed to connect to the same circuit. The previous owner just soldered the wires together. This is the portion of wiring where if you pinch it or move it around the engine starts to stall

fix the wires, trace the colors and whatever is rat****, cut it and replace with good quality insulated spade connectors, these can be crimped
You may bae to replace sections of wire
make notes, be systematic
downloading the 96 FSM will help a lot, check the archives
shaking wires to diagnose problems is not ideal, good thing it aint a space shuttle
usually a dodgy wire to a sensor will throw a code the sensor is "out of range", a good clue its a connection
