I'm shocked it took eight posts to get to the CPS.
Thant was my first thought without even having to read the entire OP.
CPS ...... easy enough to do, maybe 15-20 minutes.
I believe a 10 mm socket with lots of extensions.
I dreaded doing one the first time, after that I learned the easy way.

looks like it may be the wires for the fuel pump and sender, seems like someone my dad knows went through the same exact things, they replaced everything ignition, and injectors, even did the ECU(Dealer did, they footed the bill) before the dealer replaced the sending unit.. wires were corroded green where they entered the tank, which happens to right in the area of my fuel tank leak-this happened three years ago for them, and they haven't had a hiccup since.
looks like I need to get under the jeep and really wiggle the wires, or inspect it really well before proceeding.
and the reason I am wary of just doing the CPS, is because my symptoms don't quite align with the normal symptoms of CPS failure. That and I have seen one or two posts where that did not solve the issue.

well, I changed the CPS, hopefully that solves the issue, I need to talk with OTC about warranties, my fuel pressure gauge is leaking-the seal has deteriorated(I think it is incompatible with fuel, as it got really soft/spongy when soaked, then dried up rock hard)
Anyways, I'll update this thread when I get a week or two on it.
on another note, I may have another issue, slight miss at idle, it had been getting a little worse, and seemed to coincide with the stalling out, I did another full test of all the TPS and IAC stuff, seemed fine, tested resistance on injectors, they all tested fine(even did balance test, no change other then drop in rpms, and associated miss with no injector) checked for airleaks, checked vacuum(20hg, I think, was about 3 under the spec my book gave me-didn't give a range, just one value which was a little strange I thought).
could it be a possible head gasket-between cylinders, should I pull my compression tester out and check? probably should anyways, no other symptoms to indicate head gasket(coolant in oil and vice versa)
