1996 xj 4.0 stumble and backfire once every couple start ups no CEL
For about the last 2 months once every 10 start ups or so after about 30 seconds of good idle or when put immediately into drive it starts to stumble and backfire through the intake replaced fuel pump CPS was told by the shop that my fuel pressure is great and my injector resistance and atomization is going well no knocking or unusual ticks but it kinda sounds like it’s starving for fuel hence the backfire Possible culprits , Map sensor *least possible as it only happens during start up* *ignition switch searched around and found out that these symptoms are not un common* *fuel filter which was replaced on July 2nd 2019* anything helps. sorry for the bad typing on mobile

tune up lately? new spark plugs, wires? How old is the ignition coil? How old is the distributor cap and rotor and sensor?
