I really hope somehow you're still attached to this thread. I have a 98 xj and my sunroof has been leaking. We removed that stupid fabric they used to cover it and there is a tan tray with 4 black plugs covering the inside of the sunroof. I was wondering if clearing the drains ever worked bc it didnt for me and how the hell you covered that mess of a "factory" installed sunroof back up. I'm dying to know please help me out!

If the drains are clear, check the condition of the weatherstrip. Have you tried the garden hose approach, watching for leaks? Sometimes you get lucky and find the leak that way. Sometimes you dont. Do you have a rook rack? Could be that leaking, and not the sunroof. I can only assume it could also be that its just not closing right for whatever reason.

Just bought a 1999 Sport and can't believe the sunroof works, looks amazing and no leaks yet... Just cleaned the drains and getting ready to put in new headliner,,, after we cut it to fit!
