Default 1997 Grand cherokee-won't start

I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and I've been having intermittent issues with it for awhile. I started driving it back in February again and the gauges would randomly die. I'd be driving and all my gauges would drop and stay like that. Then I'd hear my accessory sound and all the lights on the dash would turn on like the key was turned part way and the gauges would pop back to life and everything would be fine. The more I drove it the less it happened, to the point that eventually it didn't happen at all. I could start it, drive it and the gauges gave me no issues. Then about 3 weeks ago I parked the jeep, went to move it a few hours later and it wouldn't turn over at all. The weird part was, I'd turn open the door and the cabin lights would come on like normal, then I'd turn the key to accessories and the lights would turn on, it would ding like normal and then as soon as I turn the key to start it I hear a click and I lose power completely. The weird part is that even after I turn the key back I have no power. I have no cabin lights, no power windows, I'm unable to lock or unlock it with the key fob or the switch and even when I turn the key to accessories I have no power and no lights. Then if I let it sit for awhile, the power will come back, I'll have cabin lights, accessories and be able to use all power in the jeep until I turn the key over and bam I lose all power and I don't get it back unless I let it sit for a day or so. I replaced the battery and checked the terminals, I also replaced the ignition switch and the ignition lock cylinder. Nothing has worked so far. I'm hoping it's a simple fix and I'm just an idiot and someone on here can save the day. I'm going to try replacing the starter and then if that doesn't work I'll check out the NSS. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have tried starting it in neutral and in other gears besides park and nothing.

I guess it could! I didn't think of it because I didn't have a check engine light
