Default 1999-6-2 police package. Which brakes?

I have a 99, born 1999-6-2 with the police package. Which brake rotors and drums do I have?

I intend on replacing front wheel hubs, so any advice on what to go with for wheel hubs and rotor type would be great.

It has the Dana M35C rear axle.

Pretty sure it's just bigger drums on the rear. Should be listed in the parts catalog.

pop a wheel off and measure. the bigger brakes are like an inch more than the standard so when you order your replacement stuff, you just pick the one that matches what you have. as far as the hubs, i don't know about that stuff. i never had to change those

i had to do similar on a 95 with the tow package my wife previously owned. i picked the stuff up and went home to install new drums and shoes on the back. the drums were smaller than what came off so i had to go change the drums and shoes out for the bigger stuff

I don’t have a parts catalog and would like to tackle these today. Some stores say 10 x 1.75 drums, some say 10, and some say 10 x 2. Rock auto has drums that are mopar but don’t say a size:

Mine is not only police but also has the tow package. I’ll just have to take the wheel off and put it back on to drive to get the parts. Was hoping there was a chance I didn’t have to do that because living in an apartment - the less wrenching the better.

I don't entirely trust built sheets. To be sure, go measure your existing drums. They're going to be either 9" or 10" diameter,

I believe this to be true.
Bigger brakes have finned drums.
Wheel cylinders for 10" brakes are a different part number for right and left.
So if the brake line goes in at an angle you have 10" brakes.

The part number for them for 9" brakes is the same for right and left.
So if the brake line goes in straight you have 9" brakes.

Just look at the shots at the links above.

For your unitized hubs on the front, I suggest going with Timken. While I am sure there are other fine bearings out there, Timken strikes me as having some of the most consistent metallurgy and quality.

i wish my wife's Cherokee was a tow packaged or police packaged model. that tow package was great because of the extra cooling and bigger brakes, plus the gearing in the rear end was better. you have the 3.07, like her current xj has, which makes our jeeps feel like dogs. find 3.73 or something near that and it will be like a new vehicle to you

The hubs and rotors were changed in mid-year 1999 from "composite"
to "cast" rotors. Dimensions are slightly different so they do not mix and
match. You probably have the newer "cast" rotors. But, to be safe, you
should probably take a rotor and/or hub to the auto parts store and make
sure of a match.

As for the rear brakes, take a brake shoe in to the store for a match.
