Default 1999 jeep cherokee sport

Got it a few weeks ago and it has 209000 miles on it had bad oil and brakes changed them out ran great for a few days took it on the highway for a 2 hour trip ran fine on the way back it started to kick on check gauges light and wouldn't let me reach 70 miles an hour and the light would go off when I slowed down to 60 but come on at 65 and have trouble accelerating further than that speed. Checked for converter problem its straight piped and I have no leaks on transfer case no cracks. No drag resistance in the rear and front brakes are not locked up because tires move freely and brakes are perfect. Transmission fluid was black and smelled burnt. Hoping that it is the Transmission because idk what else it could be. Oh and no fuel problems drove the 2 hour trip from start on a full tank and had a half tank when I made it to destination no misfires or grinding besides the u joint but that would cause me to loose power while on the highway. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Well:

- change out the transmission fluid and ensure the right level

-check for codes to see what has come up

That could be a start.

Another good place to start is using punctuation when typing....
I understand its a real hassle to have to push that one extra button, but reading a run on sentence and having to figure out where the sentences start and stop is more of a hassle for the rest of us. And no, it's not lazy on our part to NOT read it or try and figure it out...
Plus you'll probably get more help if posts are easier to read. Not many people take the time to read posts when everything is jumbled together...
Maybe its just me being old and expecting too much, but I always thought punctuation was part of the English language...

i wonder if he is using talk to text on his phone. it never puts punctuation in and i hate it for that. i take all this time to enunciate properly so it puts the right words in and than there is no dang punctuation. it makes me mad because sometime i have ot use it because my hands are dirty or i am doing something and then it looks like i am a brainless idiot who doesn't know how to use punctuation.

Talk to text doesn't know where to put punctuation. You have to tell it.
