Looking for drivers seat foam still (worn corner). Found a smoking deal on a pair of 2000 seats (mine's a '99), $25 but the upholstery is different & the seat pan on the drivers is bad anyways.

The 2000 seats actually have separate headrests though, mine do not. Does anyone know if the seat bases are the same by chance? I want to take the foam off the passenger side donor seat & move it to my driver's one.

Same, you probably looking at a limited or classic model seats.

I bet yours is a "sport" model.

 

It is a sport, so you figure the foam base from the donor pass side can be moved to my driver's one?

Give it a try. For $25 bucks even if they don't work, you can use them as bench seats in your garage.

 

I don't think you can swap the passenger's seat to the driver's....if that's what you asking.

Like i said, the base/track (the metal structure that holds the seat to the body) is the same be it 99 or 00.

Update: Picked up the seat pair, the passenger foam is not quite identical (different part # stamped in the foam), needs a notch cut into it for the driver's seat tilt release, slightly steeper slope on what will now be the outer bolster if placed in the driver's side. I think this is a plus as it will allow for more wear.

But it works! The fabric fits fine-you need hog rings & hog ring pliers to do this quickly & easily.
