2 new wierd sounds
well my jeep has been running fine lately but i have noticed a few rather odd noises...first off i hear a high pitched whine (almost sounds like a turbo) off and on usualy at about 2500to 3000 rpm but it doesnt do it all the time also i think its making a dragging brake noise any quick fixes for a light dragging brake?

The whine (or whistle) could be coming from your intake. Make sure your airfilter is clean or it could be sucking air from small gaps and making noise.
As far as the breaks. Get a big can of break cleaner and clean everything off really good (make sure to get all the dust out of the rear drums). If that doesn't solve it, make sure your calipers are sliding freely by unbolting the caliper and cleaning the slides (the sleeve the bolts go through).

If it slight you may not notice to much. I have had an small intake vacuum leak make noise but only raise idle slightly, after it was repaired I then noticed it was running different.

The noise you are hearing could also come from pulleys, bearings, etc. Just do some looking around.

Like I said, clean them really good first. Also, check the passenger side e-brake cable. On mine ('92) its ran right over the mufler and mine melted the casing which could cause it to stick.
