Default 2 questions ..!

Hi,

1. When I put the gear stick in "D" and press the brake padle, I hear noise from the gear box, like this: grrrrrrrrr!! and when the car moves, this noise goes!!

2. Is it important to press firmly on the brake padle when shifting the gear? bikoz there is some noise "tick - tick" comes from under the car when I press the brake padle softly>>>!!

many thanks ...

My new to me Cherokee makes a similar noise when letting off the break or when it comes to a stop.

I think its just normal break noises, but I will be watching this thread for replies.
