I was thinking the same thing as Larry. How can you be sure there aren't two holes for the regular stock mount hidden under that wrap-around piece that's on there? The Rock Auto mounts look like they would put the metal sleeve at about the same height. I think I would be tempted to pull one of the existing mounts out and see if the Rock Auto mounts might fit after all.

Yeah, another thing might be to find a dealer that's been around awhile and let them take look. Maybe they have a salty old dude out back who will remember the three months in 2000 that they installed weird motor mounts on the Cherokee.

Good point. I think the comments around trying the recommended mounts in place of the odd ones are probably the best option. Good day off project.

Again thanks everyone for your time and input. I think I know what I have to do.
I crawled under the jeep today and snapped some pics of the mounts from the bottom. And under the "donut" if my mounts are 2 or 3 holes that look like the OE mounts will fit into. But there's still one problem the donut is welded to the bracket. So I guess in going to have to cut the donut off and hope that the OE ones slides into the holes and lines up with the bracket on the engine. I'll post pics when I get home.

When I went into the Rockauto system to return U-Joints it reported that the shipping outweighed the part cost. I then got a refund for the parts and didn't have to ship them back. You can probably do the same for the motor mounts.

i know its been a while but i finally got a chance to get them off.
There is absolutely no way the rock auto mounts will work. I wouldnt be able mount them to the frame.
If you look at my mounts
It looks the brackets have a donut welded to them where your mounts have the triangular mount bolted on. So unlike your mounts i cannot seperate mount from the bracket. Not with out cutting sanding and repainting. The bottom of my mounts do look like they have holes to where the triangular mount would bolt to it so i know it has to be the same bracket that your engines use.
Maybe chrysler at the end of the cherokee's time was using spare parts to put these damn things together. You know like clearing out old part numbers....
Sucks for me.
For now since i got them off anyways im going to fill them with Window Weld [Polyurethane] until i can find the brackets from a junk yard [since i dont feel like cutting sanding and repainting] and mount the triangular mounts in the hope that i can avoid this issue.

Try searching by these OEM part numbers:
Left Front 52007394
Right Front J3242711
This site shows them.
http://www.wholesalemopar.com/parts_...FRJBDQod4Dr6oA
Plug in these part numbers in the Search by Part Number window, and select Jeep.
Mopar America does not list them. Rockauto does not list them.
Vintage parts only lists J3242711, not 52007394.
Sometimes Evilbay will list parts you need - try them.
