I agree with PatHenry. Must be done with a gauge which can be rented from most parts stores, call around for availability. Very easy test to perform.
For your 2000, you should see 49 psi, plus or minus. Watch that fuel pressure gauge closely as the engine dies and see if the pressure drops correspondingly.
