Default 2000 jeep cherokee sport exhaust problem??

hi have a strange exhaust problem on a 2000 jeep cherokee sport l6 automatic .. The truck has two converters directly under the intake and a third downstream directly before the muffler.. It also has 4 02 sensors .. I purchased a " direct fit" walker exhaust system from the intake all the way back to the bumper.. The problem I am having is it had the original cats under the intake two, and the rest of the exhaust was also orig the truck has 200,000 miles so figured I would do entire system including the 4 sensors (2 in intake ,Two under front cats) .The problem I am having is the the front pipe Walker #53440 is not bolting up to the front cats/ (walker#52304) I am looking to keep it stock but these pipes are way off at the flange ?? I mean by six inches and the angle is incorrect?/ I know the front cats are seated on the exhaust manifold as they should be but not sure why it is not bolting up?? I was wondering if anybody else has used these parts I double checked the numbers and it all seems correct?/ I just can not figure out why they will not meet it is supposed to be a direct fit?? if any body else has run across this please shed some light not sure what to do at this point ?/ Thanks Bill

Default 2000 jeep cherokee exhaust problems

Yes ,several times checked aned rechecked and those part numbers are specific to the 2000 jeep cherokee with the dual cat down from the manifold and then the front engine pipe (53440) attached to that?? I put the new dual cat (walker#52304) on top of the old cat I removed from the car, I had to cut it because it was welded to the front pipe from the factory and it seems to be the same?? The only thing I am thinking is the front engine pipe is a defect or marked incorrectly it really should fit ?/ On a diagram for a 2000 jeep cherokee exhaust on rock auto it shows the pipes meeting together?? I was hoping somebody had tried this set up ?? I was really looking for a stock bolt in set up?? It seem`s like a good sturdy system otherwise??

I haven't used this setup, but they look like they should bolt up. Just to clarify, did you install the front/crossover pipe in the correct direction? The curvy end should be toward the front.

Default 2000 jeep cherokee exhaust problems : update

In case anybody is following this question just wanted to update I ordered a new front pipe and it seem`s the orig. pipe i ordered same #Walker 53440 was defective .. the second pipe (walker #53440) fit perfect truck went back together perfectly with all factory mounting brackets.. I think they make a pretty good product seemed pretty heavy and if it weren`t for the "bent" or defective pipe it would have been a fairly simple job.. Thanks for your in put Bill
