2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport Passenger front window not working
Hello All,
I am having problems with my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport front passenger window not rolling down. So far I have tried replacing the window motor and regulator when that did not work I replace it with the old one I ordered a new switch and hooked it up. When I hit the up button on the passenger side it I can hear an electronic click like it is trying to go up but when I hit the down button there is nothing. When I hit the up and down on the master switch there is nothing however when I have the lights on and I hit the down button I can see the passenger window motor switch go dim which tells me that there is a signal going to the passenger side but it doesn't budge. I was thinking about replacing the master switch but I don't know if this will fix the problem. Any ideas?

Could be a combination of things. Usually it helps to give the motor a tap (usually just slamming the door works) while operating the switch to “unfreeze” it, if that works the motor is bad. But the correct way going about it is to grab a multimeter and make sure you are getting power (12v) to the motor when operating, proper ground connection, and reasonable resistance within the motor.
That’ll help you find out where the problem is. There really isn’t a magical cure for electrical problems since there can be so many variables.

Start by checking all the wires in the rubber looms that connect to the doors from the body. A simple broken wire can cause problems. Everything begins at the driver's master switch console. In my XJ all the windows work but only from the driver's console. Individual door switches don't. That's probably a fault with the window lock switch.
In my WJ, Everything would work as long as the driver's door was closed. Open that door and NOTHING worked. Broken master power wire.
SO, start by checking the wires in the driver's door. If they are all right, go to the door that doesn't work right.
