Exclamation 2000 Jeep XJ Sport ~ REAR WIPER

Hello Everyone,
I have a rear windshield wiper on my XJ that will not function. Here's a list of things I've done already to find the issue but to no avail;
  • Checked all fuses (including the rear wiper fuse)
  • Replaced the wiper switch on the center console
  • Replaced the rear windshield wiper motor (with a refurbished and as new one)
Have I left anything out? The wiper water jet is still function so Im assuming its still getting power. But I did not check the wire harness connecter to verify power. Any recommendations?

Yes, get your dvm out and set it to ohms scale and start at the switch on the dash. Test from the connector leads there to the rear wiper motor connector leads to see if you have a short or open. Check the ground for the circuit also.

Super common issue. The harness breaks where it goes from the body of the jeep to the hatch. Mines the same way, I've just not felt like fixing it.

Yep, have the same issue, but I haven’t had the time to determine which wires are damaged.
