Default 2000 XJ 4.0 L motor mounts

2000 XJ 4.0 L motor mounts, I deliver mail and go through motor mounts to all often, especially the motor mount next to the exhaust, anybody have experience with this? Is there a better motor mount to put in that position that will last longer?

Rustys off road rubber mounts. It's a control arm bushing used as an engine mount.

OEM quality should last quite a long time ?

I think there is an item known as a "Brown Dog" mount that is designed to be the hardest wearing

Yeah I ordered brown dog yesterday. The OEM motor mounts designed do not last long. I’ve already had to replace them several times. Along with the transmission mount. They just can’t take the stress.

To bad you didn't check the for sale posts here first.
Would have saved yourself about $30 and most likely 2 weeks wait time.
LOL.

Motor mounts have always been a bit of a weak spot.

Then, almost every replacement part is junk.

LOL.
I believe Brown Dog Motor Mounts are RHD / LHD specific for the XJ’s.

My input... Brown Dog, had them on my second xj, truly amazing for their price. Their customer service is really quite incredible as well. Had an issue with the installation, called them, talked to their owner for the question. Can't say anything bad about their product, will outlast many other parts on your jeep especially if you are only road driving it.
