2001 Cherokee cranks but wont start
So my 2001 Cherokee was running fine. I parked it for the weekend after I got home from work. When I went to start it to go to work after the weekend it would just crank but not start. My code reader shows no codes and I replaced my coil pack because the secondary side was out of spec. Any ideas?

First thing you need to do is verify that you have a good strong blue spark second you need to make sure that you have good fuel pressure at the fuel rail with a mechanical fuel pressure gauge. After verifying then we can go from there.

On some other vehicles I can pull the entire coil pack, stick the plugs back in, ground the shells and watch for spark @ the gaps. I'm not sure if that'll work here- never tried it on a Cherokee.
You could pull the plugs and see if they are wet with gas after cranking. If they are, it's a safe assumption that you have no spark.
If so, there's a video posted here on checking the CPS for proper operation:

There is a very good chance that your problem is a faulty crankshaft position sensor. Without the input signal to the computer from that sensor, you won't have spark and you won't have fuel TO the fuel injectors (even though fuel pressure at fuel rail may be fine).
If you buy one, do yourself a favor and buy a Mopar unit from a Jeep dealer. Aftermarket crank sensors are "hit and miss" with a lot of miss.

hopefully this helps but I had the same problem and turns out it was the camshaft Senser. It had gone out not letting the vehicle start. Also you may want to check the wcm. (Wireless control module.) it could be gone out and it's not cheap. 842. I really hope this helps

But a quick start: did you check for spark and/or fuel pressure?

2001 jeep cherokee no start
Everyone , I have a 2001 Cherokee sport , cranks no start. Already replaced crank and cam sensors. No luck. All fuses and relays good. No codes on OBD reader. Need some help , please.
Maybe it's better to start a new thread for this, given the fact you post in a 6 year old thread

Sorry , new here did not now how to start a new discussion.
I see other people say check for fuel and spark- neither , but some one said it wont be available until the crank sensor sends the signal , that's why I replaced it .

On the page where you see the list of threads, find the "post new thread " - it should be somewhere near the top, depending if you're on a computer or on your mobile device.
