Will a 2001 Cherokee engine work in a 2004 cherokee

Otherwise, I think they are compatible assuming the same engine size but you may have to swap intake and exhaust manifolds.

 

Ive heard the blocks are different and will not interchange. Different holes for mounting the brackets.
