Default 2001 Cherokee Sport Correct Rear Pinion Seal?

Had a rear pinion seal leak, so I decided since I had the driveshaft out anyways doing SYE upgrade that I'd replace the seal. I've done them before, no big deal.

Went to advanced gave them the info, and they handed me a National Oil Seals 710480, which I double checked and it appears to be the correct part. However, it visibly looks different than the one I'm replacing and it has this extension rubber cone that extends out towards the yoke. I didn't think much of it, the diameters appear to be correct so I installed. However, after torquing everything down, the yoke smashed back into that rubber cone and it frankly does not look correct to me. It seems that the yoke, under normal circumstances will chew away at and degrade that rubber cone quite quickly?

Is this the correct part?

Rear is an 8.25.

Here are some pictures to help describe what I'm talking about.
