I installed the pcm, can I please ask for instructions. I haven't turned it on yet, no instructions with pcm, got it at NAPA

 

It has to be programmed by a dealer or a tech with the right equipment.

 

When you ordered it from NAPA did they say it was programed and did you have to give them your vin code ? you may need to call NAPA to find out if it is programed .

 

Why would you have to program it? As long as its for the same year range and transmission it will work fine.

I may have the right scan tool to do it, but I don't know where the OP is. If they are in northern AZ maybe I can help. That is if the answer about giving the VIN to Napa is a negative when it should have been a positive...

 

To down load the program you need to get the program from Jeep or a service that has it . I would return the computer and get one that is already programed to your vin . There are places that rebuild computers and program them for you so all you have to do is install it and your done .
