2001 with PO123 code
I bought a 2001 that had been hit lightly in the front. The jeep ran when I bought it but the rad was busted. I fixed the front end and its ready to drive but I have a check engine light on PO123. I swapped the TPS off my 2000 and tried to reset the comp with my code reader, but while it's erasing the check engine light goes off for about 2 seconds and then comes right back on? The jeep runs fine except for a slight stumble on acceleration, idle is smooth and plenty of power. I think the stumble could be dead gas in tank, it sat for over 2 years before I bought it. Any ideas?

Doubt that this is a gas problem, but if you have 2 year old gas in there, get it out and get fresh fuel in there! Old fuel, especially fuel without stabilizer in it, can do a quick job on screwing up your fuel system, including clogging the fuel injectors.
The OBD system is pretty good at isolating circuit problems and I think you still have a problem with the TPS circuit.
I know you replaced the TPS. That however, does not mean that you cannot have a problem with either wiring, connector, etc.
I would get some electrical contact cleaner, thoroughly spray the TPS connector, apply a small dab of dielectric grease, reconnect and see if that helps.
If it doesn't, you need to verify the TPS wiring.
