2001 wj car seat

This is my first child and I want to be as safe as I can. Wondering if there any better way than the middle seat seat belt to secure my baby’s child seat.

On my 2001 Cherokee XJ, there are mounting points at the roof line, near the upper part of the lift gate. These mounting points were factory installed on my XJ, but also available by dealership install.

Here is the belt that could be used to help tether car seat in place.

If they're still rear facing there's not much else to do. Route the belt though as usual put your body weight on top and cinch it down. If they're forward facing you'll need some kind of rear anchor for the top strap.
