Default 2001 XJ A/C question.
2001 XJ I need to replace the binary high pressure switch located immediately behind the compressor on the high pressure line. My question is, is there a Schrader valve underneath the high pressure switch? I'm trying to find out if I can just change the valve without loosing freon or if I have to drain the freon before removing the switch.

You will have to drain the system

That sensor is into a pressurized pipe, high if running, low if not but nothing to keep all freon from venting if renoved.. why do you think its bad

The replacement lines I looked at show a valve. so 50/50 shot?
