Your track bar may be fine. Sometimes its necessary to drill a new lower mounting hole in order to keep the front axle centered left to right.

As mentioned earlier your caster angle is too steep and that's causing your problems. The violent shaking is damaging to other components.

You need to increase the steering king pin angle. This is a line that intersects the upper and lower ball joints that act as a pivot for your steering knuckles. It's too close to vertical and needs more angle.

I'll give you an example maybe you can understand. Ever grab a grocery cart with a bent front wheel? Notice when you push it the front wheel oscillates side to side in rapid succession? That's because the trail has been diminished. Trail is another suspension term that is the difference in measurement between a vertical line drawn thru the axle center and one thru the caster angle at intersection points on the ground. As caster angle increases, so does trail. This causes high speed stability. Ever notice dragsters have huge amounts of caster, like 40-45 degrees?

Your Jeep is going into the bent wheel grocery cart mode at around 40mph.

Fix it!

Just add as many washers instead of shims as you can an get those lower arms forward as much as possible. You can't go too much! Too little like now will kill you!

Check this site: http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoAlignment.htm
This guy has got his shot group together and it works! He shows everything including how to set up castor. His rig has a 3" lift with 1/8" shim installed on the LCAs. I did the same thing and she's smooth as glass now.
Let me know if this helps.

Get a heavy duty steering stabilizer shock. if your alignment is set right, this should help it out. i replaced mine and the DW was gone.

I'm definitely checking my alignment tomorrow. My steering wheel is off-center.

ok so i took it today to this suspension shop today, they told me that everything was good aside the tie rod that was broken, he told me that the rod might be a cause of the wobble and that i need it alignment. Also that my steering stabilizer need replacement cause it was leaking.

Tires should be getting here today or tomorrow. As soon as i get them ill go the alignment.

Do you all recommend to get a new track bar and and the stabilizer before i get the tires on it? Does this might stop the wobble, the alignment? My steering wheel is off, its not center.

im getting the sway bar link too this week, i have to replace it too.

I was reading the alignment link, but its sort of confusing, im new at this and i dont understand some things there.

Thanks again people for all the help

With all the new stuff, it will ride like new. They will make The steering wheel straight when they do the alignment. It will feel brand new

I would replace just the tie rod (WJ's) and a steering stabilizer, replace need bushings, tires THEN alignment.

Haha, I just realigned my steering wheel last night. Took me five mintues with a fifteen millimeter socket, pb blaster, and a lot of "lead" put into her. Don't have a torque wrench yet, so I tightened it up with my 1/2" drive until it didn't move any more.

some updates on this frustrating wobble:

i put the tires on, looks great on them

i should get the replacement track bar and the steering stabilizer this friday after that alignment and balancing on everything.

What i notice is that when i installed the new tires, the wobble minimized a lot!

it just shakes a little at 45 after that its good, i guess im just missing the alignment and its should be ready.

I also installed the link that was broken, may be it was that.

Im more calm and relax that i dont have that BAD wobble no more, hopefully this weekend ill drive it up in the hwy a couple of miles and see if its good for a trip

thanks a lot to all of you, for all the help provided
