Default 265-75-15 on a 2in lift?

So a friend of mine has a set of tires he just took off of his XJ. (4in lift on his) They are 265-75-15 he said I could have them for free if I wanted, they have about 60% tread left on them and I could use some better tires on my 99 XJ. Im just curious if I will have any issues since they are close to a 31x10.5 in size and my XJ only has a 2in lift on it. Im thinking the height of the tire will fit fine but the width of the tire might create problems. I never do any off-road, just city driving. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

on stock wheels it might rub at full lock. might have to trim the fenders even for city driving. my RC 3" is sagging in the rear and i had to cut and fold the rears just for my "city" driving
