I'm confused
I'm confused. With a lift I would think that the rear axle is now lower thus further away from the x-fer case. So the driveshaft would be pulling away from the transfercase, right? The transfercase has been dropped an inch in the photos and should help mitigate any vibes since day one. Hopefully it is not causing additional damage to the transfer case when it is making those awful noises.

see hoe far the rubber is sticking out of the case in this pis look at yours you have pushed it way in this could cause the slider to be hitting the end of the shaft at tc case no 3inch kit recomends them only when you get to 4,5 i checked all kit at quadratec it worth a try

Think that we are over looking something here. Just to make sure the position of the yoke for those of us still having OEM driveshafts measure from the back of the transfer case to the center of the yoke. Mine measured 8" out from the back of the transfercase. Think this way we can actually start troubleshooting the issue.

Ya know, i just remembered i had this problem when i was at about 4" and it turned out that the yoke on the driveshaft would bind with the shaft on only 1 axis?! Pretty stupid if you ask me as you get about 45 degrees or movement on one axis and only like 25 degrees on the other. I clearanced the driveshaft with a die grinder and totally took care of the problem. Say what you will about this mod but i've had no ill effects but wouldn't recommend it for novice penny pincher as you can easily destroy your shaft if you're not carefull!

Kit did not come with it. Guys over at 4 wheel parts tell me that it is pretty much always required with the lift I got. Some time you get lucky however. This one is not lucky. If you were running at 7.5" out then mine is out half an inch further. Not exactly sure how much engagement or overlap is available in the transfer case, but suspect it is out further than need be.
