for reference

here is roughly 3" of lift and 37's. im bumpstopped until my springs are flat and its perfect. in front i ran 3 hockey pucks and it was perfect, until they exploded from jumping, for now i just live with my tires eating my fenders.

Now that's friggin sick, both pictures. What front suspension setup is that white one using? Looks like long arms but hard to tell.

Looks like it now. I wasn't focusing on the color of the top jeep. My bad.

3in lift and 33's just doesn't look tire, height proportionate. Just looks like you got too much tire and not enough lift. Stick with 31's till you can afford to go higher. Going straight to 33's will cause more damage than you are prepared for.

Just my .02

I like 4.5+ for 33's and 30-31's for 3in IT just looks better also.

Also keep this thread clean or once again I will remove it!

No need to cut it, just a little persuasion with a BFH, and it lays down nicely.

come again?

depends if this is a "function > form", or "form > function" discussion. also, looks is just a personal preference thing

personally i see 3" and 33s as way better than 4.5 and 33s.

from a tech standpoint, anyone will be hard pressed to convince me that 31s on 3" functions better than 33s on 3"

The amount of lift and size of tires all depends on what you do with the jeep.

Mine sits at about 4.5" and I would not consider going any bigger. I do however plan on going with 32's and new gears and some minor trimming. For what I do it works and fits my needs.

If you do some heavy rock crawling then smaller lift and bigger tires will likely work better. I personally do not like the look of 33's on a 3" lift just a personal taste and nothing more. My personal preference would be more lift for 33's and at 3" I personally would not go bigger then 31's. Again just a personal preference and nothing more.

The great thing about Jeeps you have options to accommodate anyone's flavor..

Also keep the personal attacks minimal and the thread will remain open. It's ok to disagree but it is not ok to attack a person for their opinions.
